Automotive Service Advisor/Writer:
Initiates automotive services and repairs by ascertaining performance problems and services requested; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer rapport and records.
 Automotive Service Writer Advisor Job Duties:
• Ascertains automotive problems and services by listening to customer's description of symptoms; clarifying description of problems; conducting inspections; taking test drives; checking vehicle maintenance records; examining service schedules.
• Verifies warranty and service contract coverage by examining records and papers; explaining provisions and exclusions.
• Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies, and labor; calculating customer's payment, including deductibles.
• Prepares repair orders (RO) by describing symptoms, problems, and causes discovered, as well as repairs and services required; obtaining approval signatures; entering RO into service database system.
• Maintains customer rapport by explaining estimates and expected return of vehicle; obtaining customer's approval of estimates; obtaining and providing contact telephone numbers; answering questions and concerns; arranging towing and temporary transportation.
• Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading manufacturers' publications.
• Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Automotive Technician/Mechanic

Kennedy Ford Inc. in Sheboygan Falls, WI is currently seeking an Automotive Technician/Mechanic. This is an immediate Full Time opening that requires experience, solid work history, own tools and a strong desire to succeed. NO WEEKENDS!!
Qualifications:
ASE certified preferred, experience with minor diagnostics, brakes, steering and suspension, cooling system and other general repairs.
Responsibilities:
• Align wheels, axles, torsion bars, and steering mechanisms of automobiles, using special alignment equipment and wheel-balancing machines.
• Change spark plugs, fuel filters, air filters, and other maintenance services.
• Diagnose and repair regenerative braking systems or hydraulic systems in hybrid vehicles.
• Diagnose and replace or repair engine management systems or related sensors for flexible fuel vehicles (FFVs) with ignition timing, fuel rate, alcohol concentration, or air-to-fuel ratio malfunctions.
• Inspect propane or natural gas high-pressure tanks, piping, or pressure regulators.
• Inspect vehicles for damage and record findings so that necessary repairs can be made.
• Install or repair air conditioners and service components, such as compressors, condensers, and controls.
• Repair or replace clutch systems.
• Repair or replace automobile leaf springs.
• Repair or replace defective ball joint suspensions, brake shoes, or wheel bearings.
• Repair, overhaul, or adjust automobile brake systems.
• Repair, replace, or adjust defective fuel injectors, carburetor parts, and gasoline filters.
• Replace hydraulically assisted systems with electric-powered systems, such as power steering pumps or air conditioning compressors, to improve fuel economy.
• Troubleshoot fuel, ignition, and emissions control systems, using electronic testing equipment.
• Test electronic computer components in automobiles to ensure proper operation.
• Tune automobile engines to ensure proper and efficient functioning.
Pay is competitive which includes incentive hours, paid sick/vacation, portion of Health Insurance Premium, Retirement Plan - match up to $100 per Month.
